VEQ-5 VINTAGE EQUALIZER

The VEQ-5 is inspired by one of the most famous and renowned equalizers in studio history - focussing on the power range frequencies from 200Hz to 7kHz it is aimed at cleaning up and sweetening vocals. But it also does a great job on guitars and keys.

Available as limited time offer at $39 until the 31st of March, 2017 and a regular price of $69.

FEATURES

AUTHENTIC CIRCUIT EMULATION

Our real time SPICE type component based circuit simulation approach allows to authentically capture the sound and feel of the analog counterpart in all nuances. Every crucial part of the circuit, including the passive filter network, audio transformers and amplifier tube stages have been faithfully modeled.

SSE2 OPTIMIZED CODE

DSP operations are pipelined using the SSE2 instruction set. This ensures highest possible performance operation despite very complex computations.

AUTO-ADJUSTED OVERSAMPLING FOR MAXIMUM AUDIO TRANSPARENCY

Aliasing artifacts are efficiently attenuated using a low latency linear phase Dolph-Chebyshev poly-phase design. The oversampling is auto-adjusted to your session‘s sample rate to save valuable CPU power while offering the most transparent sound possible.

HIGHDPI / RETINA SUPPORT

All our plug-Ins support high pixel density on Mac OSX and Windows to bring you the most enjoyable user experience on high DPI displays. Please refer to your manual to find whether your DAW is HighDPI capable if you‘re working on Windows.

Hi Rasmus,

thanks for the honest feedback. We're actually in the middle of overhauling our entire activation system so it becomes more intuitive and transparent.

Our current system basically requires you to set up an account and enter your login credentials in the plug-in activation dialog. So it's not like you have to be a rocket scientist in order to set things up.

There's also a challenge/response offline method that requires you to register your device (once!) and then request an activation code via the website.

Everyone that's dubious:
We kindly ask you to watch our activation tutorial, it's not that hard at all. Feel free to contact us via support any time if you have questions about or issues with the activation process.

I'll just add that whilst I've managed to activate your plugins using the offline method, I've never once gotten the online method to work. I also had to run my DAW as admin in order to get the licenses to 'stick' so any improvements would be very welcome!

If you'd elaborate a little on what went wrong (error messages or the like) with the online method that would be extremely helpful. Admin mode shouldn't be required in order to get things going, but we're in touch with another very helpful fellow (Compyfox) around here on the 'non sticking' activation in some rare cases on Windows systems and actually we're close to also fixing that issue for good. For now you can activate a flash drive instead of your HDD to get rid of that btw.

Activation offline was my previous way to activate plugins, but tonight first time I could login online activation method after I'd reseted the password on the user info page. It works now.

Very nice sound I must admit, and thanks for the freebies by the way.
Intro price makes this plugin EQ a must have.
I hope you will make another modul EQ with highs and lows....

Great job Wuppertal!

Thanks

I'd love to help but unfortunately I don't have any more freeware BRA plugins to register - is it possible to unlicense the ones I have so I can run some tests? I didn't bother trying to use online licensing with VHL-3C since it didn't work with either Canary or Cypress.

*Edit* Tried the VEQ-5 demo:

Well, since I had to go to your website anyway it was less hassle just to offline license it :D

Almost one full page and no one is talking about the sound, good old KVR :D

I am just going to say that this really sounds as good as it looks. It's very smooth and if you drive the preamp it adds a beautiful color. Just make sure you use a gain plugin before and after VEQ-5.

Here is an extreme example, but you can tailor it to your needs

Just wanted to say that I've never had an authorization issue with Black Rooster Audio, and that I've been running these new plugins throughout the weekend with no issues. Awesome plugins!

Do these have artificially induced background noise?

Wow! Running some drums and a bit of bass through one of the Kush preamps, then into the VEQ5...and it just sounds wonderful. :tu:
