As probably biggest Firebird fan and user (sound designer too but let's not shake the designers hive)i'd like to ask KVR community will you be interested of releasing new Firebird with more sonic power and capabilities - it's my wish the developer to do this and i just think if enough people show interest i may write and convince him to develope new version by taking full responsibilities to make huge amount of insane presets for it for free :)My personal wishes about this hypothetical new release are:
1.Simplicity-one screen,all in front
2.Four oscilators,more waveforms,two filter rotation,fx section from Rayblaster or Electra
3.Good price.

Gladiator 2 which is a kind of advanced Firebird (both do HCM synthesis) will receive a 2.6 update this year:

Markus also talked about future support/updates for Gladiator and Firebird:

This year Gladiator is getting 10 years old. Since it's one of our most popular products i can guarantee support for the next 5 years till the year 2022.

So far no product except Firebird has reached the EOL.

Don't get me wrong but Gladiator go into another direction and i don't like that - check time of creation of the presets i make meanwhile u write this for about 2 minutes and half time was wasted because i start from scrach - this simplicity s what i adore ,just miss more 'fire'power -modulators,mod matrix maybe so on - it's such a fun to work with this little bird

I've used Firebird, but to be honest, I don't like it - too damn dark (in a bad way) sounding. Difficult to use in conjuction with other synths (at least for my music). So...

On the other hand, Gladiator...now that was a dear

Not a big fan of Firebird either. Sounds too candy (speak, has too much of that Tone2 psychoacoustic enhancement stuff, which isn't even deactivatable), and i didn't like the synthesis too. I don't expect them to do a version 3 of it either, considering they made version 2 freeware. I'd rather expect them to turn Saurus magware, in the next year. And then, work on new versions of another of their synths, and maybe release a totally new one.

So what has that got to do with the OP?

If looking for more advanced synths, why do users even bother with Synapse Legend

As regards a Firebird V3. I don't think that will happen. I purchase it before it was set free.

@ VilianTroy: Do a search at KVR for old posts about Tone2 and FireBird. Ain't gonna happen imho.
