hey guys, so i just watched a tutorial where the guy uses a mpc with 16 pads, and takes one note and makes 16 variations of it :o so my question is, how can i get 16 variations of my note usig just ableton?
here is the video if u want to watch, its a good one though, pretty useful :tu:

u can go to 2:56 to see what he does and what is my q
so i figured out my main note is F3, and then, err... please help :help:
i am very thankful for an answer  , really struggling at the moment

You want to get the sample into a "sampler" so you can change the pitch instead of just playing it back at the same "speed"

yup, its in a simpler, but how do i know which notes would i have if i had a 16 pad mpc? :scared:
they arent just c,d,e and so on because this way they are 12, even with the # ones, and it should be 16... :?

Ah, I see. Hard to say his actual pad-2-note mapping, but he says he uses a pentatonic scale and traverses the keys upwards. I would guess the top row and the bottom row are the same notes, just +-1 octave.

For a regulare keyboard, look here and just mash the notes with numbers on it and it will sound ok:
