The Suzanne Vega article is nice although it has at least one obvious error that the synth-heads will pick up on: the DX7 was made by Yamaha not Roland, and it was introduced in 1983, so she wasn't making sounds for one in 1974.

Not a diss on Vega...

But it's almost like mixing up Delia Derbyshire and Karen Carpenter.

Not slighting any of them, I love them all.

But... There'll always be a soft spot on my little dark soul for Suzzane Ciani. Some of her music helped me out during a very sad time when I was a lad.

Ha ha - I totally stand corrected. Not sure where my brain was when I typed that. Suzanne Ciani is very definitely not Suzanne Vega. Not sure Suzanne Vega ever played a DX7 - either the Yamaha or the (very rare) Roland version And you're right, it doesn't say Ms. Ciani was playing the DX7 in 1974.
