Guys,

it finaly hit me: writers block? OMG! :-o I can't get anything to come out the way I want it to.

I got these two tracks made fairly short after eachother but I can't seem to finish them. Any thoughts? What do they need?

Listening to #1:
You've got a good basis there. It does need something else though. I think some female singing would be nice on this. Also, some sweeping synths would really fill-in some parts. It would be kind of nice to have it blow up just a little in the middle of the song, then you'd have a plateau.

Listening to #2:
I love triangles :D
Both tracks are really quiet. I had to turn them way up to hear it good. I don't really like the key changes in this song. Varying up the chords and chord rythyms could really strengthen this song. I like the random sounds entering about half way through the song, but they need to start earlier in my opinion. The song kind of drags and you expect changes to happen, but nothing big occurs. I understand this is a loungy-trance piece and needs the repetitiveness, but adding a little variation and more lead stuff would really help make the song more dynamic.

Hope that helps!
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Thanks for the feedback.

The tracks are all quiet because i use very moderate limiting. When/if the songs go to press the pressing company will master them properly anyway, so i don't spend that much time on it anyway.

I agree with the extras needed. I was thinking about some live input (real instruments, not sampled) to spice up both songs. And vocals, if I had a vocalist...so if anyone feels tempted to make a live addition to the songs, let me know 8)

with song #2 i realy had no idea what to put inthere, so all ideas are welcome. Also thinking about re-arranging the song to bring on changes sooner in the song's structure like you said. But I need some hook to build to.

Also both songs could use some funky chunks. What about it?
