Has anyone tried the latest version of Revoice Pro 3.3 to edit their vocals?

Those unfamiliar with the software can watch this video to learn how to use Revoice Pro for music production: http://www.synchroarts.com/videos/using ... production

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts/opinions on how you use it (or could use it) with your other plug-in's and DAW.

I've been using it since version 2.5. The most recent one I had installed until this week was 3.1 though, so I don't have an opinion on anything introduced since 3.1.

I will say that the time alignment features and Cubase integration are amazing, and they're the whole reason I bought the product.

Again, with the caveat that I've only used v3.1 and earlier, I do not like the pitch correction at all. Not because of the sound, but because it is much clunkier to use than Cubase's built-in VariAudio. When I tried it in Revoice, it was very clunky partly because it had to re-render the audio every time you made even a tiny adjustment, and also because you couldn't audition individual segments, whereas with VariAudio you use audio segments as if they were MIDI notes- click them to hear them played, and they are re-triggered in real time as you adjust their pitches on the piano roll. (EDIT: Looks like they've addressed some of these complaints in version 3.2.)

But the time alignment... just amazing. I use it to line up backing vocals to sync up with leads. Saves having to warp or fade consonants all over the place on the backing tracks.

The workflow took a while to get used to. I was a Groove 3 member at the time, so I followed the Revoice Pro 3 Explained course to get the hang of it. Also, even though the Cubase integration is solid, at least with versions I've used, it requires some per-project setup, and you have to use some special hotkeys when dragging audio clips between Revoice and Cubase to ensure your edited audio hits the right place in your Cubase timeline.

I have Vocalign Project and am trying to decide if it is worth the upgrade cost. I find I can line up vocals almost as good as Vocalign Project manually. It fact, it doesn't seem to recognize when it is off by more than a beat. i bought it for a project and found I had to manually line it up and then it would fix the little spots that were off. ReVoice looks like it might work a lot better.

How is it compared to say Melodyne 4?
Thanks
