this is probably the simplest thing in the world to do, but i am have no clue how to set up a midi chain.

i have an m-audio oxygen 8 going in to a Tascam US-122 midi in. works fine. i just recently bought the evolution x-session midi controller for triggering files, etc. i have no idea how to hook this thing up so the Oxygen-8 can work along with the X-Session.

Im using audiomulch to do all this.

if anyone can help me with just the midi chain so it all works together, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I belive that you´ll need a MIDI merger to connect all of the singnals to one output!

It may be possible to use Midi Thru if one of your keyboards has it...and have the second key transmit on a different midi channel.

thanks for the help, i think the midi merger would work. makes sense. the x-session isnt a keyboard, just has knobs and buttons, and neither have a midi-thru.

thanks

Midi in to midi out, keep doing it. Works like a champ. But maybe I'm missing something here with not knowing your specific devices you're talking about?

since the oxygen-8 only has midi out, i went from the oxygen-8 out to x-session midi in. then x-session midi out to the US-122 midi in. i thought that was a logical way to do it, but it didnt get any midi messages from the oxygen-8
