hey,
i want to get a battery backup for my studio. it needs to be powerfull enough cover my computer, monitor, scanner, and around 20+ pieces of hardware gear (synths, effects, etc.)
what size/strength battery backup should i buy? do i need more than one or will everything run fine off of one backup with extention cords and power strips
plugged into it?

not being particularly informed on this, i believe you should total the amperage of your devices and supercede that in your ps. oc never used one.

I suggest to be very careful! Many of these give a square wave for power. Many synth and converter need sine wave to clock correct. Battery Backup is very bad idea for studio! There is a big reason you do not these this item in any studios!
The UPS items that may work are very expensive. These also die after many uses. Your best solution is to save often.

Good point about the modified sine wave output... many UPS's do indeed not put out a perfect sine wave.
The only ones that you can guarantee are perfect sine waves are Online models... and those are pricey.
