Hey, first post here, so hello.
I've used Pro Tools professionally for the last 12 years, never thought about switching until recently. No huge reason, just wanted to see what else was out there. There are some things about PT I don't love, but I know not every DAW has everything.
Studio One has been my first step outside PT. Seems pretty cool. Definitely taken a minute to adjust to it, but I seem to be doing okay. It's missing some huge features for me (better marker system, markers not showing up in the midi window, session data import, fades menu, high res waveforms, dedicated mins/sec lane, feet+frames lane, time code lane, range selection highlighting the timeline as I'm making selections and not just after I've made it, no OMF export... you get the picture).
I could possibly overlook those things for what it does offer over Pro Tools. Maybe. I dunno. I love a TON about it. Certain things are way better/faster than Pro Tools. But in other ways in feels like "pro-am" DAW because its missing some pretty huge features for professional users.
One thing thats REALLY bugs me, and I seems like it should be an easy fix, is the relationship between the grid and quantization in Studio One. In PT they are separate entities: if my grid is set to 8th notes, and I'm playing something with 16th notes, I set my input quantize to 16th notes, and I leave the grid in 8th notes. One does not affect the other. Is there a way to accomplish this in Studio One?
And one more question. In Pro Tools, whether I'm in the edit or mix window (arranger or console) when a track is selected, it turns the name of the track white, it's the only bright white icon in the entire GUI, so it makes spotting it super quick. I keep having to really examine my tracks to figure out which one is highlighted. Sounds small, but it's kind of frustrating. Is there anything that could be done about this? Could a script possibly be written to accomplish something that makes the selected track easier to identify instantly?
I've tried posting some questions over on the Presonus question page, but it's not very active.
Would love to hear from someone who really gets the ins and out of S1.
Seeking some help from a more seasoned Studio One user

Howdy and welcome
You don"t mention which version of S1 you're using, but I'll assume it's v3 because in v2 it's pretty easy to see the selected track.
In v3 the selected track could be more contrasty, but it's not too bad imo. If your track controls panel (where the mute and solo buttons are) is "colorized" it's more difficult to see what's selected. To un-colorize tracks go to the spanner icon in the top left corner of the arrange window and click, a menu pops down and you can uncheck "colorize tracks" about halfway down.
Hopes this helps. For your other questions you'll need someone more informed than me!
