Mainstage 3 - CPU usage seems high

Hi,

I'm using Mainstage 3 (updated to latest version) on a 2015 MacbookPro and I'm finding that the CPU usage seems high for what it is doing. I mainly use Mainstage to run backing tracks so for most of the time each patch will have between 1 and 3 playback plugins and that is it. However even with just that -and nothing playing - the CPU usage sits at around 30%. When playing it will hover around the same but occasionally ally spike up to 50% and sometimes to 100%. This is all with no other software running, WiFi and BT off, all taskbar programs quit, spotlight disabled, and graphics switching disabled.

Does this seem unusually high to anyone who uses Mainstage?

This and several other things have me thinking my MacbookPro isn't running quite as it should, but I can't find anything to quantify that it is which makes getting it fixed difficult! I've had to run a clean install 3 times since owning this MBP to try and get rid of all sorts of issues...

Any thoughts appreciated!

That's also my experience using Mainstage 3 on my 2012 MBP. Simple instrument/effect chains that take very little CPU in Logic regularly trigger System Overload messages in MS3. I've seen quite a few others running into the same thing both here and at logicprohelp.com.
