Hi all,

Was wondering if any of you could suggest some medieval/fantasy libraries that either work with Kontakt player or a free engine (like the best service engine)? I know Era II and Epic World, which sound great, but I'm especially interested in any inexpensive libraries you guys know about and recommend.

Thanks in advance!

You like to read? Oops sorry not inexpensive and full kontakt :dog: ... Pretty amazing library though.

Free Harpsichords... You aren't going to find much free or cheap in Lutes and Medieval Woodwinds as it is a very specialized field...

I did these but for Kontakt. You can always use Kontakt Player and bounce them.

I do like to read! Thanks for the links and insight! Right now I'm leaning toward Epic World but my budget is sadly tight :(

Boulder Sounds early music, maybe. 30 bucks. Kontakt 2 / EXS24 / Giga 2. You can probably convert out of one of those formats to SFZ or something?

13 course Baroque Lute 42.3 mb
Fortepiano 53.5mb
Harpsichord (numerous stops recorded) 20 mb
Hurdy Gurdy 10.5 mb
Renaissance Guitar 6.1 mb
Renaissance Lute 11 mb
Theorbo (bass lute) 62 mb * EXS & Kontakt only *

Free Medieval Psaltery Kontakt 2 / EXS24 probably convertable

Old thread that might have hints...

Hi mate,

I created a cool Serum preset pack inspired on medieval sounds.

The pack has 64 growly XFER Serum Presets. Also including 10 wavetables (based on the foley recordings) to tweak and create your signature Medieval sound. And as I said, we also give 30 studio recorded Medieval inspired samples, such as weapon hits, moving chain armour, and wooden shields. You will get instant inspiration or use them as unique fills.
