Features

• Two complete oscillator/envelope sections modeled on the original topology of the alphaSyntauri.

• Each set of partials can run in "lo-fi" mode, emulating the gritty digital voicing of original, or in a modern mode for alias-free sines.

• The noise can be either "lo-fi" digital shift-register noise per the original, or modern white noise.

• Two complete delay sections with LP/HP filtering and cross-feedback.

• Two tempo-syncable LFOs with multiple modulation destinations.

• A large complement of presets included that show off the extensive sound generating capabilities of Phosphor, including some famous alphaSyntauri presets directly ported from the original.

No more license transfers, so I've heard. New lick of paint, slightly bigger UI?

No demo version.
No audio demo.
No license transfer.

These guys really want make it easy for their customers & sell their plugins uh? :hihi:

There's the "usual" $10 upgrade for previous owners. I cant find any info on their site about what's new in v2 ...

Post

They also haven't done any sales for a long time. Sometimes it seems like they DON'T want to sell their stuff.

Guess they still have that policy that if you don't like it, they'll refund it.

Their plugins are cheap. If people can't afford them priced as they are, they should probably be worrying more about getting a job rather than audio software.

Faulty logic. I can afford them. I just don't think they're worth the asking price.

I might be going blind but I can't find this upgrade anywhere (I have the version 1 Phosphor).
Where is it please?

More generally, whilst I liked the sound of the version 1 Phosphor, I don't really use it much.
And even with a (possible) $10 upgrade, there doesn't seem to be that much enticing about the newer version.
With no audio examples or software demos (and none will ever come), no upgraded GUI sizing options, as well as no real presence here on KVR by Chris/AD, I can't see any reason to snap up this upgrade.

As others have noted elsewhere, it does seem to be a rather half-hearted attempt to upgrade previous products by AD, perhaps to coincide with them messing up their previous website and customer accounts?

(FWIW, I bought about 70% of their products a few years back).

Pass.

About getting a job, I really suggest you to not become a lawyer, with an argument & a logic like that.

But you can return them can't you? So why would you need the other options?

Refundable or not... surely it's not unreasonable to want to hear what a musical instrument sounds like before buying it, no?
