Same. I don't feel much of a need to purchase one, when i can use any synth as a carrier anyway. Good stuff.

Anyone know the purpose of having a side chain input for the modulator? I mean sidechain carrier overriding inbuilt carrier would make sense (instead of using the L= carrier R= modulator which requires two instances for stereo). But the main input is already the modulator for the inbuilt carrier ..

if u mean u can control the onboard Synth yes

and yes u can send it a sound(carrier)
and send it another sound(modulator)
and Play the combined vocoder sound with your keyboard

Can I use it as an insert on an audio track (vocal) and send it midi from an instrument channel with the plug in selected as the target?

depending on which DAW u use i would say yes
