If you dont want anything other than responds-to-MIDI hosting then try Tobybear's Minihost, or the Chainer demo.

I use the Chainer demo all the time when I need to download something to show ST2 to someone. Too bad they don't make that for the Mac. Is there something like it for the Mac? Anyone know?
You can also use it in Fruity. One of our programmers, Dustin, talks non-stop about Fruity. It's all he uses. In fact, we're thinking about putting a jar on his desk and making him put a dollar in it everytime he says "Fruity'll do that" or even whenever he just says "Fruity". I don't care if he is describing a tropical drink he's still puttin' a dollar in the jar! But, we know how Fruity lovers love their Fruity.
Anyway, I should put money in a jar everytime I say Chainer. I just love that thing. But who ARE those Xlutop guys that make it? Where the heck are they anyway? Do they update the site or the program? Vairee Stronge.

I have Fruity Loops Pro v 3.2.0. It apparently can handle VSTs but I don't know about VSTi. I can't find any information about using Sample Tank and the Symphony Strings with Fruity. I know that program pretty well, but I'm not familiar with plugins and VSTs and what not.
Does anybody else use Sample Tank with Fruity? Let me know if I need a specific version before I waste my money.
Love,
twistfinger

Hey Squids,
You can use 'Rax' on the mac for hosting AU instruments and effects. I just tried it with ST2 and it works fine.
My version was free but it was pre version 1.
Version 1 has more bells, and quite possibly whistles, for $30, from: www.grantedsw.com/rax/
