logic midi routing. help!

ok I'm trying to do the most simple task of making a channel to get midi from one external midi source.
and breaking my head over this . in all daws u can just choose very easily where you want your input to come from ( all, midi keyboard 1, IAC 1, ) . and I just can't manage to do it here.been digging for hours, in the unfathomed midi environment, enabled midi demix, whatever. just not getting it. please anyone have easy solution, or easy explanation how it works ? thanks a lot
