Here's where I'm stuck. Apparently there is an issue with "ad hoc" and windows 10. The "examples" are, weird at best.

Was kinda hoping that maybe someone could enlighten an old foggie on how to do such a new-fangled thing :)

(BTW, isn't it cool that they got it working again??? :hyper: )

Jesus f**king christ, and I can't submit a ticket because non of my browsers allow the pop up for the registered product

Isn't there a phone number I can call in LA or something? (I have a vague remembrance of a thing)

I have all the current stuff, it was just re-released yesterday.

Let's start from the beginning:

right now, ic pro is asking for "enter Ip of computer"

All known router box numbers/etc are not accepted.

Go to your MIDI device setup in Cubase. Do you have ski remote setup? It should show the published IP address

The IP address just above the version number with the port extension ... your ipad has to be on that network. Your wifi router has to be set as the gateway.

Yes do the latest ski remote

Photobucket doesn't work anymore for posting pics.

AH! I got it from cmd.

But now it wants a password.

EDIT, SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:wheee:

hmm.. photobucket doesn't show the picture? Never had a problem before.

Anyhow,

In windows 10, do cmd (dos prompt) and type ipconfig. What is your main ip address?
On your ipad go to the wifi settings and click the little info icon of the wifi connection that has the green checkmark.

On Windows, unless you did something, it should be 192.168.1.xxx (the router/gateway should be 192.168.1.1)
the IPad should also begin with a 192.168.1.xxx and have the same gateway as listed on windows with ipconfig

If they aren't the same ski remote can't find it, and you have to type in the ip address including the port ":45000" usually for me. But the wifi router will have know that whatever network your win10 box is on is being routed.

Uncheck "enable authentication"

The only thing I can think of is that your wifi router is not set up to route traffic internally.

By the way, IC Pro is awesome for setting up keycommands. I use them always. I even use that more than just hitting record and stop/play remotely, which is what I got it for. To me it's a WAAAAY underrated and underused program. Is too bad people don't know about it so that the userbase would support ongoing dev.

All good dude. Works great, I needed the password, put it in. Cool beans.

Now, where is this magical "tap tempo" mentioned here......
