Batch blending of audio files?

I've got a custom-built collection of drumkit samples. Toms, specifically. There are six toms, seven velocity layers with six hits per layer. That's 252 audio files (if my math is right).

I need to blend a single audio file into each of them to change the attack. I don't want to "open, paste, save" for every single one. Is there anything out there that can automatically blend the small file into every one of those samples?

More information would be helpful eg your OS, and it depends how you want to 'blend'

but sox will let you mix two files...

and you can use a batch script to process multiple files

I will give that a looking.

I'm on OSX and it's just a simple paste-in blend. No eq or volume or alterations of any sort needed, I already tweaked the small file as necessary.
