Piano Playing Robot Can Play Any Piano (A Sampling Company's Dream)

Came across this today...it's a piano playing robot that will cozy on up to any piano and basically turn it into a very advanced player piano with no modifications. The thing even recalls pedal positions. My immediate thoughts were, "wow, I bet a piano sampling company would love to get their hands on that." Could you image programming this thing to play X number of velocities and basically just hitting record and walking away until it was done playing each key at the desired velocities the desired number of times? No bum notes, no coughing, no breaks.
