Am starting to play around with SynthEdit and Buzz and am wondering if there are any 'visualization' modules out there? I haven't seen any listed from the generous developers out there but maybe there are some hidden away which I am not aware of?

I'd love to be able to make a synth with a small window which ran some sort of algorythmic visualization based on certain paramaters of the synth/beatbox/whatever. I know there are many visualizers which will run through a host app; i.e. WinAmp, but I want a visualizer to run inside the synth itself... to take the GUI and tweaking process to the next level.

I haven't gotten into the SDK's too deeply yet but there is alot of C++ code out there for visuals... but perhaps an issue becomes the DirectX and video drivers??

I'm open to any tips or possible collaboartions on the idea.

Hi,

in Jeskola Buzz, some of Buzz machines have GUI (graphic user interface), but most of them have not and use only standart Buzz GUI. It have some advantage (performace, easy development, you havent to learn new GUI of new machines) and some disadvantages (mostly you only hear what you do).

If you wat GUI, just use VST/VSTi in Jeskola Buzz because new Polacs VST loaders are just great :)

Have a nice day and I hope I have uderstand your question well.

I think what he is asking is if there is a plugin that can do a 'light show' to the music based on some parameters. I don't think anything like this exists for Buzz, but it should be possible to make one. It would be cool if someone could make a plugin that could load winamp's visualization plugins (of course ideally you'd want something that you could make patterns for and have it change for each part of the music).
