Just a noob question-

Can I use the included lightening to usb cable to enable a midi connection to my pc, or do I need a third party midi interface?

Post

You can do it easily with a Mac but I don't know about a PC. Should be possible with Studiomux/Midimux. Have you tried them?

Front page of studiomux.net says:

"control Mac and PC applications or hardware connected to it, using Lemur, TouchOSC or any other app that uses MIDI"

So you should be fine. I use Studiomux all the time and it works really well.

I'm 99% sure you can use the cable, wifi is more fun and no noticeable latency on my windows machine.

Edit to confirm lightning USB cable support was added in 2015. Lemur seemed to be abandoned but just got a nice update a few days ago :)
