The Yamaha page for this mentions iOS and Mac, but has anyone found a way to use one of these witha windows laptop?

First of all, the Yamaha MD-BT01 is a Bluetooth LE MIDI adapter, therefore it cannot be used on any Operating system over WiFi.

You should be able to use it on a Windows laptop, if (and only if) the laptop is running on Windows 10.

Yamaha MD-BT01 (wi-fi MIDI adaptor)...can it be used with a laptop over wi-fi?
