Sh-101 options?

What are the best options for sh-101 emulations? I owned one way back when they came out and want something for nostalgia as much as anything. What plugin gives the most of its essence?

Yeah, I have their Juno emu, I would like to get that one cheap though, as it isn't very feature rich, though pretty dead on as an sh-101 emu though. But I want to weigh all options. I see Lush on sale a lot for about the same price.

If you have Reaktor 6, there is a block module that is modeled after the 101. I compared it to TAL Bassline 101 and it sounds identical. Plus you get all the nice extras of patches it however you want, and having several of them. It's all the 101 I need. Of course the filters aren't exactly the 101 but you can get pretty darn close. There's also a 101 filter on the drop by cytomic.

LuSH-101 is stunning, they're maybe around the same tax on processor in real world use?, but surfing through patches on LuSH will give you a few nasty CPU surprises.braj wrote:Yeah, I have their Juno emu, I would like to get that one cheap though, as it isn't very feature rich, though pretty dead on as an sh-101 emu though. Yeah, like $250 and only then after a year's subscription. I don't think that's a good fit for me.sfxsound3 wrote:I heard Roland have a thing called SH-101 PLUG-OUT.

Anyone know if there is a dr110 emulator, I want the full nostalgic setup that was my rig way back when, with a Yamaha organ run through a Boss flanger as my lead instrument. I want that little lcd screen redone. It was an awesome little battery powered system, going through a 4x1 boss mixer to an old boombox. The early 80s were great. All cv right before midi hit.

It's about $130 to purchase. Pricey, but it's a great emulation, otherwise go TAL.braj wrote:Yeah, like $250 and only then after a year's subscription. I don't think that's a good fit for me.sfxsound3 wrote:I heard Roland have a thing called SH-101 PLUG-OUT.

Don't you need a Roland plug-out synth for that?db3 wrote:It's about $130 to purchase. You can run the Roland plugin without hardware.
I have all three, TAL Bassline 101, D16 LuSH 101 and the Roland, prefer Roland the most altho TAL is good too. LuSH feels like a whole other synth, it has supersaw, layers etc. The beauty of SH101 imo is partly the simplicity.
All Rolands own plugins are really good, SH-2 is my favorite.
