A complete set containing everything you need to start making your own glitch, IDM or dark ambient tracks. This set contains royalty-free 16 bit wav files that can be used in a variety of hardware and software samplers to produce your own original songs.
Included on this cd:
-250 drum loops
-125 single drum hits
-200 synth pads
-9 simple dark ambient loops
-16 long drones for background noise and texture
-10 convolution sources in both WAV and Cool Edit Impulse format
That's almost 700mbs of completely original sound files that you can't find anywhere else. Aural Piercing contains 100% original loops and samples created here in our studio using an extensive array of hardware and software synths, sequencers and effects. All this means you get a wholly unique set of professional quality sounds that will blow you away.
All samples are stereo, 16 bit, wav files. All tonal samples are tuned to C4, except the dark ambient loops, which are labeled according the the root note of the progression.
This cd will be part of the Beta Series, in the sense that it does not have the final packaging. So you will receive a plain cd-r with the title and series number scrawled across the face in what passes for my manuscript. The loops and samples, and the quality of both, are final-production quality, only the packaging is lacking.

haven't listened to a single sample yet but...
you should really consider calling this the alpha release and the next one the beta, although to be even more pedantic: you really ought to just drop the 'Alpha' from the next release

Sounds cool, and nice to see more people doing sample disks focused towards experimental and abstract styles. If I didn't like creating all my own sounds, then I'd be interested.
One suggestion... Show off some other style beats rather than just static chops. I'm sure you have more stuff on there, I hope?

Not bad but I think more variety would be better. Also, more lush & ambient pad/sequences would be welcome.
The demo song is really cool, I like it.
Cheers!

ahh, the eyeroll. so unexpected here at kvr.
I like the sounds, good work. It is so rare to find a sample disk that doesn't compromize to the more boring elements of electronic. I will buy this next payday ( a week wednesday ) if you don't mind shipping across one border to Canada. Shipping is not that much more, my new Hitachi Deckstar HD only cost 5 bucks from Cali, so if I doubled your 1.50 would you consider?
Cheers

thanks for the feedback, all. this is the first time I've attempted to put something like this together, so I'm curious to know how well it works for people.
spoonboiler - yes, I'll ship to canada, and don't worry about extra postage. the text on the page was c&p from my ebay ad, hence the comments about shipping.

I liked what I heard...more variety will undoubtedly unfold as a result of supporting the developer instead of criticizing a lack of one's persoanl tastes regarding his sample collections.

thanks. I will note that the samples available are not all-inclusive. there are other aspects to the cd that aren't fully disclosed in the free downloads.
gotta hold something back for the paying customers
as far as the beats are concerned, as addressed by deranger604, that style of drum beat is what is showcased most in this sample set, being that it is geared towards glitch and IDM, but there is a fair amount of variance in the effects used that warrants 250 loops.
thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to leave comments. all concerns, comments and grievances are being noted for future consideration.

I just shipped one to Ireland and the cost to me was $3.20, so for now I'll eat the $0.70 and go with the standard $1.50 S&H.renton02 wrote:how much would postage to the uk be?
