I was particularly pleased with theme in the second half of prayer wheel (and with the general good vibes from the KvR massive :D ) , so I took to another place entirely.

this is the result

scuzzphut - prayer wheel 2

Hope you like it :)

this one is very good too...thanx for sharing it.

all you have to do now is to write an album to put between those tracks :)

Hi

I didn't hear your first version - I really like the backing which conveys a powerfull emotive feeling - I like the bells as well - but IMO they don't work together - the bells are the focus of the theme but in that context they don't hold it together - i think this tune is crying out for something to grab it and push it all along.

I would lay a guitar to take control or build on the backing and even out the bells - what I mean by that is the level fluctuations - they appear to go away and come back - maybe thats what you was aiming for?

I do like the backing though - the hypnotic drive of the drum.

Flipper.

that's the hard bit, though, isn't it :)

thanks for all the comments, guys
- original flipper - thanks for taking the time to write so much - it all helps :D

I really like the tune, too. I love the bells.

I'm with flipper, the bells seem to me to be the focus of the song, but it sounds like too much is happening in the same frequency range that detract from them.

Have you tried playing the backing pad one octave lower?

Cheers,
Steve

lovely track scuzz, not what I was expecting given the last track of yours I heard was the one with the Missy accapella on it

Very soothing, I thought it could be fun after hearing that lolloping beat to tear it up with some really evil drum and bass at twice the speed, but then I'm weird like that

Post

ohhhh that is LUSH!!!

Post

What took you so long :)

I love how this flows from that superbly distorted bell (the resonance is creating a totally new sound there as well - tops) into lush strings indeed.

Cool transition track...

I stand in line here, now fill in the middle part ;)

Not if you enjoy what you are doing

thanks guys (and gal :) )

One of the truly great things about KvR is the feedback in the cafe.

The positives are uplifting and the negatives are usually delivered in a "try this" or "I'd have preferred it do do that" way (thanks original flipper and shamann :D ) which is genuinely helpful.

 KvR

Post

it was a bit short tho... :P

Post

well, press pl.....

Post

more straight forward than the previous one.

i love these veiled drums

strings and bells shine all along

the shortness works as a frustrating trick :D

i found the song quite complete as it is and can't see how a guitar would add something to the whole lot (?)

the only complaint is the last chords.. there's something weird going on at 2:08 with the stereo image (???)

overall, of the coolest tunes
