loud gritty little number. i put it together in o-plat, used fm7 for the bass, onboard drum sampler, 2 instances of slayer2 for the dueling electrics. after you get about halfway thru, it just repeats itself and you'll already have a feel for where it's going.

just one of many under-developed numbers in my stockpile.

fortunately, i have neither.

I just loved how the sequences jumped in from the start. A very cool bassey almost slap bass, of which I regretted that once, the higher sounds (great distorted guitars) they seemed to muddify this track enormously starting at 0.29. Try cutting some of the low end, so that the first sequence comes through more clear.

Try a bit more EQ'ed mix to allow all the elements have and keep their place and you'll have a great energetic piece of music.

Do tell though, did you use arpegios for the sequences or did you build these yourself.

Enjoyed

pretty cool track! have you considered submitting this to this month's metel contest? i think it fits the concept pretty well. ;)

the lead sound is real cool, very detailed. the constrast between the real fast and whailing tones is real cool. and eventhough it's quite a big contrast it still sounds like a coherent melody line.

it makes me want to continue working on the song i started on yesterday.

hey, mystar, thanks for the advice...i use waves L1+ plus, which generally does me good, but in the conversion to mp3, things always seem to change....low bitrate at soundclick because i'm a cheep balstawd......i actually built these rifs myself, but have relied on the arp in the past and then tweeked.

austere...i think about entering something every month but just never quite get to it...too busy with work stuff and then this is my relaxation and sometimes 'relax' means 'not done' thanks for your comments.
