Digital Performer “Chunks” vs FL “Patterns”

I don't know FL Studio, but DP Chunks are complete sequences that you can then arrange in a special window. Each sequence is separately editable in its own, and appear in the arrange as a block. I also think that each chunk (sequence) follows its own conductor track, which means each can have its own tempo and time signature. You can pretty much create an arrangement with chunks where each one is a complete song, as if it was a CD, or treat them as patterns.
Unfortunately, you cannot overpose chunks in Digital Performer, AFAIK (you could, in Studio Vision).

I don't know DP, but FL is same as DP in the post above, time signatures will be supported in the next major version

Though I'm not familiar with DP's features completely it looks they are serving a different purpose in regard to the efficient usage. FL's pattern (clip) is like song element container that allows organize instruments and microedit notes in dedicated viewer called Channel Rack rather than doing whole thing in track view as other traditional linear daw is doing. I'll leave precise analysis of DP's to users who are familiar with it.

^^^ +1
after watched the series, this is the last part
DP Chunks have own mixer and own instrument set (but can be routed to common V-Racks) and Chunks are tracks/clips based (bigger units than FL counterparts) Sequence/Tracks and Chunks interactions are missing from FL
this can't be done with FL
Chunks in Song window interaction servers similar purpose in both DAWs (creating reusable units) just on different level, FL patterns are good managing reusable bass, lead etc. layered sequences for songs, DP chunks are good for managing reusable multi-track recorded units (ex. for a movie)
ps. getting understand why DP is a favorable tool of movie song composers
