that is a great deal - Spectralayers is very worthwhile as is Samplitude. I wonder what upgrade deal existing users will get?Chapelle wrote:Looks like the $199 offer has been updated:

Apparently, it now includes:
- SpectraLayers Pro 5
- Free update to X4 (estimated release date: December 2018)
It is unclear to me if the update to X4 will also include Sound Forge Pro 12.

if it included soundforge 12 i would consider it for sure.

Def. just Sound Forge 11. Too bad as it's the only one I'm interested in upgrading.
Maybe they'll do the sale again next year.
Still an awesome deal though for anyone who didn't jump on it last year.

probably not for free.tonymax wrote:What about peeps who bought the deal previous to this, do we get the upgrade?
aside : i think re-buying this works out cheaper than the individual upgrade fees, doesnt it? pity its still only SF11.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

I would stake my life on the answer being No, for obvious reasons.tonymax wrote:What about peeps who bought the deal previous to this, do we get the upgrade?
Well, we do get the upgrade if we pay

Are you sure its 'definite' ? Ive just been looking at this again, and it specifically says its an upgrade to Samplitude 4 Suite not just Samplitude 4.nathanj wrote:Def. just Sound Forge 11. Too bad as it's the only one I'm interested in upgrading.
Surely the Suite would include the current SoundForge, not the previous version.

I wrote them and asked and was told this was without soundforge 12. They weren't very descriptive on their answer so I wonder if they really understood it.
I really would love to upgrade to Soundforge 12. I started having to use Wavelab elements and not really crazy about it. No way I wanted to pay for the full Wavelab and I always worked with Soundforge in the past, so really used to it.

They seem pretty adamant about getting $199 for the SoundForge Pro 12 upgrade.
Maybe during the holidays they might come down a bit. Not including it in the X4
Suite upgrade would be particularly lame on the part of MAGIX, definitely.
You can get the SF Pro 12 upgrade for $159.95 @ Safe Harbor Computers if ya just gotta have it. Somewhat better.

Magix has done this in the past with Samplitude Suite... now they are pretty much giving it away.pekbro wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 10:08 am You can get the SF Pro 12 upgrade for $159.95 @ Safe Harbor Computers if ya just gotta have it. Somewhat better.

Asking $199 for the Upgrade to SF12 from SF11 (which brings to the table 64-bit and VST3 support, and little else) is outrageous. They should have learned their lesson by now... but apparently they didn't.
Sound Forge 11 does the job well enough.
