I downloaded the new version; when I change chords, it previews the chord 25 or so times before stopping!

(More experimentation; this happens in the "quick suggestions" dialog and in the circle of custom chord builder, and in the chord voicing editor. No preview if I type the name of the chord in, and only one striking of the chord when entered via MIDI keyboard.)

Is this a bug? Or a setting gone awry? Where is the setting to control the appearance or length of the preview sound? I have looked through the settings and haven't found anything to control except chord volume on preview.

Ouch! Can you tell me what is set for your chords preview? It is possible to use any phrase in the composition, browser or phrase editor, and if that is a long phrase...

Please open the Chord Selector and click on the the Options menu:

The selection should be "Chord" or "Chord+Bass" for the normal preview.

Mine was set to "Preview Phrase in Phrase Editor." Which might explain 4 chord sounds or 8, but this was right after the program was first downloaded, and I think I was just using the vanilla chord generator. As of now, I have the preview set to off, the avoid hearing the chords over and over again. I tried turning preview back on to replicate, but no luck. Hearing the whole phrase was annoying, but it was a reasonable number of times based on the phrase, like 4.

As per your suggestion, I am now set to chord+bass, and will turn it back on as needed.

Thanks for checking. Using a long phrase for chord preview may not be suitable.
