For a long time I have found some of the postings on the Reaper forum to be sexist and generally inconsiderate and derogatory toward a range of people. Not all of course, but disturbingly the posts are not removed through moderation. Now this is a company forum, not Reddit or similar and certainly post #gamergate and #metoo it seems difficult to support using software from a company that provides a platform for posts such as the following (warning this one is obscene and sexist)

and a thread that targets people living with intellectual disabilities with derogatory comments https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=193129

I have used Reaper since about version 0.45 or so - from very early on - so I have a lot at stake in terms of workflow but I showed my daughter the links above and her view was that condoning this behaviour was completely unacceptable. She has a history of working in social media so is quite aware of what is acceptable for companies.
I should point out I have contacted moderators on the Reaper forum about these posts and they have no problem with them as far as I can tell. Certainly not enough to remove them.
How then do you find supporting a company that provides a forum for this sort of hateful speech? (before people come to Reaper's defense I would ask that, if you are a man, you first show the first post to your mother or daughter or female partner or friends and ask them how they feel about it. Or ask anyone you know with a disability how they find the second thread I link to)

interesting consistency amongst the "first responders" taking offense at not being able to be offensive - which is pretty standard for the ultra-right at the moment. I guess that consistency is part of your rugged individuality

I think "ritard" in the context of the second link, refers to ritardando. A gradual slowing of tempo.

But I'm pretty sure the OP is having a laugh himself, so I guess it doesn't really matter what my wife thinks of the naughty talk in the first link.

if you read further in that thread you will see that is not the case at all and no I am not having a laugh. I think ethics are important
