Synthmaster wavetable builder?

The only wavetable synths I use that can import wavetables are the Synthmaster ones, what is the best tool for creating and importing wavetables into these? I have zero experience in this area. I'd like to record some vocal sounds and be able to use them in wavetables. Free is definitely preferable.

AudioTerm (it is somewhere on this forum, but I can't find it now)
or
WaveEdit, you can export wave as wav file and iport it in to SynthMaster
http://synthtech.com/waveedit
and it is very nice Wave tool, I did quick test and SM can load wave files from WaveEdit. It have max 64waves and if you save wavetable it export all waves. AudioTerm is more precise in this regard, you can export wavetable with 2 or 8 waves, on other side WaveEdit is much more userfriednly.

Both AudioTerm and WavEdit are free... If you are just starting, I would suggest WavEdit and goggle for you tube vids.
It also has an online section where users upload their WTs... a good place to find W_Tables and see what is going on.

OK, so creating wavetables I've figured out, how to export them, not so much. It exports to a folder and I have individual waves, but shouldn't it be a single file? Then for SM, I believe I just drag and drop that into the Wavetable osc, right? I tried dragging a single wav into it, it worked one time, but not after that. Scratching my poor bald head here, I'm afraid.

Wait for SynthMaster 3
We have a "prototype" wavetable editor currently written with Microsoft .NET framework running on Windows. If anyone is willing to test it out and give us feedback please find me on facebook and join our private users group.

OK, so I can save that way, I have to append .wav manually, but OK. But even when I select all the WFs before 'save bank as' it only shows one waveform when I import to SM.AJYoung wrote:Exporting the waves will give you individual waveforms, but to get a full Wavetable you want "Save Bank As". This saves it as a single wav file.

I actually figured it out with WavEdit, I just wasn't putting enough waves in my test and iut looked like SM was only using one waveform. I'll be happy when all of this is done inside SM3 but for now, it works.

@Braj... good.... sometimes I find it best not to tell someone exactly what to do and let them discover for them selves> you learn a lot more like that I think!!!

Bulent... I am up for testing your WavT editor )))))

It is because WaveEdit export as very small sample number and SM import I guess as 2048 samples. Then SM load WaveEdit 4 waves as one single cycle.braj wrote:I actually figured it out with WavEdit, I just wasn't putting enough waves in my test and iut looked like SM was only using one waveform
But workaround is there and simple. You need some waveeditor, I use Wavosaur (it is free).
1. Open exported wave from WaveEdit and delete all empty space (stright line). Finall version must have 512x number of wavetables (that means if you have 3 waves then 512 x 3, you must have 1536 wave samples (right click with mouse on empty space > properties and check sample number)).
2. Convert wave in to 32bit Float (Process > Bith Depth Converter)
3. Process > PitchShift > Simple, Semitone -36, Cent 0, ApplyInterpolation checked > Ok
4. Final result must have 2048 x number of waves
Then SM open this wavetable correctly.

For wave files containing multiple cycles (wavetables) :
If a loop is defined between 0 and N and the (file length)/N is M, then SynthMaster assumes the wavetable length is N and there are M waveforms in the file. (sorry for the math
) Otherwise, it assumes the single cycle length is 2048

Hi Bulent, Can we test your wavetable editor for SM 2.9?kv331 wrote:For wave files containing multiple cycles (wavetables) :
