Hi all!
I've recently started sampling using Mainstage's AutoSampler in order to load samples directly into Ableton's Sampler.
Ableton's Sampler can usually read EXS24 files, but it seems to have problems locating the files when using the EXS24 file. Anyway, ignore that. That's not the question.
When I drag the raw audio files created by Mainstage's AutoSampler into Ableton's Sampler, it automatically sets the right rootkey and key range along with velocity ranges too! I don't understand the codes in the file name. Could anyone shed some light on this? Example attached.
I love sampling!
Best,
D

44 is 44khz, C1 is the key, 127 is velocity, just a wild guess.
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?
