I am coming from Sounddesigner (loved it) then did all my editing with Peak (kind of loved it) and after its death tried Wavelab LE, but didn't like it too much. Still didn't find an editor for me...
Sound it! 8 pro how compares it to wavelab (editing) and izotope (mastering)

Try at least the free Wavelab Elements 9.5 trial because the recent versions are massively different from the version of Wavelab LE you probably tried. Elements is also much less limited than LE.
You're not going to find many opinions on Sound It because pretty much nobody uses this outside of Japan. It's not exactly huge in Japan either.
