Kontakt and release velocity

Does anyone know if Kontakt can use release velocity, either applying volume and filter settings based on it, or, better, switching between release samples based on it? It bothers me when I hit the keys hard on e.g. a Rhodes piano, let the notes ring out and then there is a loud release sample played as I carefully let go of the keys.

Yes, it's possible.

1. Select group in the Group Editor

2. In the Source module you activate Release Trigger

3. Volume: Create a modulation in the Amp section
Filter: First insert a filter as Group FX and then create a modulation there

or, better, switching between release samples based on it?

If you have a group of release trigger samples in various velocities then yes, afaik.

For OP's use case he should use release trigger counter modulator.
