good grief! that looks like Southport beach too! (i.e. no sea... :D )

Good stuff steve. 8) piece. I like the way it starts and ends with seaside sounds. It's progresses well as the track goes on and has a real "journey" feel about it. I like it a lot.

Though, I thought you guys were limited to 4 minutes?

I really enjoyed your song, it is a little bit long for my taste, but it's lovely.

I'm inclined to say "f**k it!" but then I'm probably not going to be the poor sod putting the CD's together...

I'm with clueless, I think it would be a shame to have to cut stuff out of it. Make it a double CD or something... :) ...

no, me neither.... and if everyone said f**k it, it wouldn't fit.

still we could always do a double cd :D

i trust that also meant you liked it ?

So this is what southport sounds like; hmmmmmm good thing I'll be there for a longer bit then.

For some reason my ears cannot decide which of the sounds needs to be cut in the mid section, but something is not working right there and demanding too much attention while I feel it should be pushed to the lows and highs more to leave room for one melody to drift on top.

Good goings allready here Steve....

Interested to see where you yourself will take this.

i agree mark, it all ends up sounding a bit "mushy", kind of like the peas but less green

i should get my new absynth 8) tommorrow so i'm going to have a look at replacing some of the sounds, some of the pads need a clearer, more glass sound i think.

crystal is fun, but i think absynth will be better :D

cheers for listening, if i work at it it should be tiptop for kvr-southport.

i'm with Mark about the mid section

the drums starting around 2:38 are nicely programmed but sound a bit muddy

overall, a great track that deserves to keep its length (don't cut it please).

cheers

Yes! Although I do agree with the others about the mid-part - I like all the "bits" but something isn't quite gelling. I need a few more listens.

I really sat up straight when the drums kicked in by the way! :D
