so as i said 4 hours ago i won't wait that long this time. had a day off today, another day of compressing, cutting, copying and stuff.

so here is another one
down and out (i have the strange feeling that all our titles have an 'and' in the title :) )
http://www.dekonstrukt.de/kvr/downnout.mp3

this is the prove that i am actually a sleazy crooner. so lite some candles or the curtains.
a song for a boy and a girl
or a boy and a boy
or a girly and a girl
or a flower and a bee
or a beer and a fag.
spot the paul young reference in the first verse

don't listen to the occasional clicks, i have to clean the shit up later.
so i hope i get as many usefull hints as i got last time.

Nice track.

A great track allready. Not many pointers I can give you here really :)

This is again a very nice piece of work!
Personally, I could as well imagine to have some part "hardened" up a bit, such as with real in your face guitars and eventually a more smashing drum and bass combination. This could enter at 2:38 or even just at 3:06 (with the part being a bit longer then). After that it could as well calm down a bit again.

But then, this is only my taste, it's great as is too.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

wow. That's a really well made track, man.

Very gestalt, as in complete in a way I wouldn't change.

Dig the drums alot. And it's really nice to hear a guitar solo. It's almost like that's become a lost talent, although I hear way more pppl doing solos here than out there in Candy Land.

Well done.

Nice track. It reminded me of alot of things somehow, whilst still being original!

You are a sleezy crooner :D :D

Typical song that I like :)

To my feeling the guitar solo that comes in around 4:00 could start sooner, around 3:30. The period 3:30 to 4:00 sound a bit as a dead pause in the song.

I really like the music on this one.
A great chord progression, nice interplay of the instruments - I also like the background noise "quark" and the paddy synth.

I think the verses are much stronger than the chorus, to be honest. the chorus feels like an anticlimax.

good lyrics - good vocal tune in the verses.

nice work, dekky :)

thats a good point i am completely aware of... :help:
i have many songs that have a real strong verse and a kinda crappy chorus...
maybe david and me should stop doing choruses and stick to a new genre 'verse-pop' :)

on another track we even switched the chorus and the verse - result: sounds better now

try this - take the chord progression of the chorus you have : for example GFCBflat.

Do a logical shift left on it - it becomes Bflat/G/F/C

fit your chorus around them chords instead.

I think one of the problems that makes the chorus a bit weak is that it starts on the same chord as the verse ends with...ermm....on....(you know what I mean ) so shuffle them around a bit :)

i'll start another 'the'-band with that one, doing southern german shanties or something like that.

my songs are often 'chorus-less', too :D
i tend to find choruses artificial (WRT lyrics particularly) :scared:

choruses are rather necessary from a musical point of view, tho

nice track, good production, not my favorite cup of tea but pleasant nonetheless

cheers

wow! two good songs in a row :D loved the stuttering sound at the beginning and during the verses. the drum was excellent. vocals were great again. couple things i would have done differently - only my opinion:

cut the ending in half and do another chorus. at first i thought it was just a break/solo but it went on until the end of the song. i just wanted another chorus.

one lyric bothered me for some strange reason -the put oxygen in my lungs one. just sounded corny to me - i don't mean to offend you, but just my opinion.

other than, excellent tune! keep'em coming!
