Sounds like you might want the "hey" sample from the old tracker module "robotron"

It's an old 8-bit sample. I've always wondered what the original source is.
Played at lower rate, it has a more breath-like quality than speech.

Sorry, I didn't realize that page didn't link back to the file.vignesh.vijay wrote:what's this ? and how would I use this ?Jace-BeOS wrote:Sounds like you might want the "hey" sample from the old tracker module "robotron"

The above is a direct link to the file. It's g-zipped, so you'll need a decompression tool that supports g-zip files. Which tool you use depends on your OS. There are plenty of free tools out there for handling this compression type.
The file that comes out of the archive might not have a file extension on it, so you might want to add .mod to the end of it for convenience.
A tracker module is a music file that contains sequencing and samples used for producing a song. Think of it like a MIDI file merged with a SoundFont (analogy only; a tracker module is actually very different). This music format was created on the Amiga computer back in the 80s and eventually spread to other platforms.
More info on that: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Soundtracker
Depending on your OS, there may be various options for using the file (for playback, editing, and sample saving). One freeware cross-platform tracker that should support this module is MilkyTracker:

I hadn't seen this post when I made reference to the robotron.2 module. Sounds like you created exactly what you needed. That's probably the best way to go about it. Good job!vignesh.vijay wrote:I recorded myself and few of my friends and did the reverse reverb effect and it worked ! thanks deastman
