Steinberg Download Assistant - Question to users

What's up everyone,

Can you download an installer through Steinberg Download Assistant and run it on another computer or does it force you to insall the application in the computer you download it into? And does it let you download an installer for another platform (ie, download a mac installer from within Windows)?

I don't want to install this type of "downloading software" in my production environment unless necessary.

Yep to both. You simply click on the dropdown menu in the upper left, and choose the OS. After the download, you can move the installer from the specified location, and take it to another computer, if you want. The installers are universal, so, no ties to the computer you downloaded them on.

No probs. Actually, i totally forgot i have the Download Assistant installed on my computer. I guess that's the biggest praise you can give to such a software.
