Hi gang :)

I'm completely new to Reason and would like to get into it more, there are lots of early tutorials from previous versions like:

Propellerhead Reason 2.5 Power by Michael Prager (Paperback Book).

Has Reason 10 changed too much from earlier versions for the likes of this book to be of any use?

Any help much appreciated.

There's not much tutorials for v10, because it's just few more instruments & samples. So those general Reason channels & tutorials should sort you out:

Thanks antic

Anyone have any thoughts about the book?

Any previous book or tutorial will be related and you can translate it directly into version 10.

Take it easy because there are advanced books like the Power Tools books and some complex routing tutorials not meant for beginners.

Don't skip the manual! It's the best manual written for a DAW/instruments I have read, it's really an excellent one :tu:

Reason 2.5 and Reason 10 are absolutely nothing alike, save for the rack paradigm. That book will be filled with old techniques and outdated approaches, IMHO.

There is no dearth of free Youtube video tutorials ranging from Reason 6-9.5 that will most certainly apply to the current version, though.

This. The Reason manual is the standard for how I wish other Software manuals were laid out. Somebody probably already posted this but the Blog Tutorials on Props site are usually quick, entertaining, and useful. Here is the link if you havent checked them out yet. https://www.propellerheads.se/blog/category/tutorials
