Hallo guyz..

I play around with samples and I do a few little things..

BUT, I think I'm not working properly with the tools I have, since I'm sure I could do things in a much simpler way..

Is anybody willing to point me some good reference or tips on how to work efficiently with samples and build up good sequences and tracks.

I have a little library to pick from where I can get many sounds from drums to bass, air inst etc..

I'd be interested in some clear stuff to organize my work from the raw sample to the full laydown on track.

thx
PS anything is welcome tips, www, books, refences, examples..

Bye.

Project Studio Handbook is probably a good place to start.

Also check out SoundsOnline.

If you let us know what tools you currently have, we could probably steer you a little better too.

Yes Sure,

Well, I'm using Cubase 5.0 and trying out Traktion

As for sampler, I'm 'searching'. I haven't made a definite choice yet. I've tried Halion, which seemed ok. But I had an old ver. maybe now things are better.. I'm still looking for something good.

I don't want anything to complex at present, I'd like a good sampler with some mid-advanced functions to get me going..

Also, I could also consider hardware if its any good.

I'm a bit stuck though, since I mainly work with audio and use MIDI/VST/samples as complement..

I'd like to give more space to sampling though since I think its a nice powerful tool.

Try Ableton Live.

www.Tweakheadz.com is a great resource, especially for those just starting out (has a lot of "101" articles on different aspects of audio/midi).
