Hi,
I have been making videos with pictures on for youtube, exporting them using the "youtube" preset, 720, AAC 156kbps.
If I upload in this format to youtube, will youtube process the file again creating more distortion?
meaning i should upload mov/wav uncompressed to youtube instead..?
Thanks,
Michael

It used to be that if you gave YT a 1080p (or higher) vertical vid to work with they'd make a 192kbps audio. They quit doing it a few years ago and afaict it's going to be 128kbps. It's hard to keep up with, I see 156 there. It's really not easy doing research on this, I've found.
I put 24-bit PCM in all mine and my results aren't bad. I noticed the diff not long after they changed that in a couple of spots, so...
But, looks like to me the video streaming will be .mp4, so there's not a lot of point uploading a bigger file for a still picture vid particularly. Some of my .mov for the same video are smaller (from DaVinci Resolve) than FCPX's mp4, oddly.
