I really need some Kora (african harp) samples (multisamples not phrases). Does someone knows of some available on the net for free or that can be buyed as a download? (I need them ASAP, so waiting for a library to be phisically shipped is not ideal)

Hi Project,
There is a Kora on Ethno World 2 by Best Service, it is available in EXS/HALION format or GIGA and costs £300. It has about 3GBs of content in total including various bowed, stringed, woodwinds, brass and keyed instruments from all over the world. It also has quite a bit of percussion which is quite handy. You can check it out at http://www.timespace.com

Found some interesting stuff here...
http://www.coolmaps.at/korajaliya/nl/soundsamples.htm
It looks like some software for playing back Kora tunes... haven't tested it myself though.
I also found a link to the soundsamples themselves...
http://www.coolmaps.at/korajaliya/download/samples.exe
It extracts them into two folders, one for the Kora samples, the other for the Jaliya. The actual sounds are all in WAV format, although the file naming is a bit odd (Seems to have a short and long sample for each note on the scale.)
Hope this helps !

Thanks a lot Scarkord!
These samples are really useful, even if it's a shame that they are a bit dull (recorded at 22050 hz)
