Hi all -- I just need some simple (to u but never me :-) ) starting points.
I use Logic 6 (Mac 0sX) and purchased VST Groove Agent and FXpansion VST to Audio wrapper. Of course, FXpansions' screen shots on installation say "Do this, do this, then presto, you'll see this!!". Of course, that's not how tech stuff REALLY works...
So after doing what they say, I still can't see Groove Agent in the long list of audiounit plugins. And besides, I need it as a midi instrument.
Can someone kinda' simply spell it out for me -- like, a), then do b), then do) c?
I'm a great composer but a lousy tech guy so please, the simpler and dumber you assume I am, the happier I'll be.

Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem - I am also installing Virtual Guitarist Electric Edition. It is as clear as mud isn't it! I have tried positioning the instrument in various folders - the local VST plug in folder that the FXpansion software creates, the global library/audio/plug ins/VST one and the user library, same string. I then remove and rescan for the instruments and it finds them. In Logic you can see them but Groove Agent doesn't open - it just crashes Logic and Virtual Guitarist comes up but won't find any content (if you haven't seen this, it is a slightly different install as there are 3 CDs of mainly wav files involved. I am really writing this in the hope that one of us will stumble on the answer and share it accordingly. Another Jeff has kindly got back with a link for an update although I realise I made a mistake in my first posting and failed to mention it was 'electric edition' of Virtual Guitarist. I want these products so I can quickley produce production music without hassle - how wrong can you be!

You need to make sure you have the latest (v1.34) version of the wrapper. Older versions will not work with VG EE or Groove Agent.

Would you be so kind as to tell me where I can obtain this? I only bought it two days ago but the download was 1.32 so it looks like you are right about this.

Many thanks

You will see from my string we need the 1.34 version of the wrapper but you seem to have to email them for it and it takes 48 - 72 hours for them to get back with it which seems a bit wierd and slightly annoying. The good news is that it seems a solution is within reach. I wish I knew this before wasting all the time trying to make it work! Having said that, I am sure writing this stuff isn't as easy as we all think so thanks to all those unsung heroes.

I just bought the wrapper a few days ago as well -- it's already out of date??

Thanks so far guys. I'll get the update. I have a tech gy coming over in the next few days and if he sorts it out, I'll post the results. So keep watching...
