They are rerunning the 80's TV program Knight Rider on TV here, last night I was watching an episode (yes, I prefer dated TV programs to the soccer world cup
) and there was a longer instrumental part which sounded a looot like Faltermeyer's famous track. To my surprise that episode was from 1982, i.e. 2 or 3 years older. Seems Faltermeyer might have stolen his tune...
It was the Junk Yard Dog episode, just for the record, the music played while they were rebuilding the indestructible car, after it got destroyed
