Digital Performer 5.1 VSTfx routing?

Hey there!
I would like to process a 5.1 bundle with my VSTfx I have made.
Unfortunately DP 9.5 doesn't see VSTfx on a surround track plugin slot.
I can't see DDMF Meta-Plug or Reaktor either.
I can rename or change the io on my VST to whatever if this will help.
I have tried putting 6 outs on the VSTfx as well as the requisite 6 ins and changing the names to L,R etc.
Any DP lovers in the house?
What can we do here?
Can we use any VSTfx to process in 5.1 surround sound?

edit- I am on Win10 atm, for this query.
I have successfully used the Meta-Plug before on Mac
