No Freeze Track function in Akai MPC Software?

I downloaded a trial of the new Akai MPC software, 2.2 for PC. Did I miss something or has Akai left out a freeze track function? Looked through the documentation and found nothing on any kind of freeze track function. In this day and age of massive memory hog plug-ins, how could a company looking to compete in the competitive DAW market leave out such a CRUCIAL function? Shame, I like the software but not being able to freeze tracks and free up memory is a major deal breaker!

You just bonce the track to audio (menu track, bounce to audio) then mute or disable the midi part. 2 clicks rather than 1, but not a show stopper. You. An bounce tracks, regions, patters or songs from memory.
