I was able to get my copy of Tracktion 7 free because I online registered a product I bought from Behringer

Does anyone know of any deals for Tracktion/Waveform 8 or 9 as bundled with other products? Or free with registration of hardware, as I just mentioned?

Thought it was worth a try. I think 8 is available for some hardware controller thing that I probably would never buy ha ha

I'm not aware of any free deals, so if you like Tracktion, you might as well take a look at all the new features added to Waveform and decide if it is worth $59 to upgrade. https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform

At any rate, you could be supporting the future development of Tracktion Waveform. This is a small indy development shop, that I believe only has 2-3 developers.

Well worth the upgrade price, IMHO. It is the least resource-intensive DAW I have (I run it on a $100 Windows 10 tablet with no problems) and the MIDI composing tools (i.e., chord progression builder) are fairly unique and definitely useful.

I thought I saw a much higher price tag for 9 elsewhere... Didn't realize it was for such a reasonable amount

Think I'll give the 30 day trial a spin 1st & see how that goes.

Yeah, the composing tools are nice.

Even better in version 9, with the chord track.
