Getting the music out

Hi,

I have a lot of tracks (techno/deep house) that I would want to release, but I find it hard to get in touch and release via a record label. Which of the below alternatives do you think is best?

1. Start an own record label and release the music through that - on spotify for example.

2. Continue to try and get in touch with a record label.

And how would you do to get the track played as much as possible if you started through an own record label? Contact blogs?
