Beck playing Colors tracks - live on Colbert

Just wondered if anyone saw this Wednesday night: the track Colors was played live on the broadcast, the main keyboard player was located rear stage right and had two tiers of what looked like 88 note k/boards. He was playing what sounded like a Shakuhachi patch with a falling pitch envelope - it had a prominent part that recurred. What keyboard was that being played on?

Funny - this performance (ensemble vocals, vocoder, funk guitar and synth fills) reminded me of 80s synth pop guys Scritti Politti - the sort of stuff they did on Cupid and Psyche with lots of programmed Fairlight synth etc.
