I think the voice sounds a little bit too harsh. So does the arp which is also way too loud imo. The song sounds better in mono, it feels like everything loud was pushed away from the center by force and got stuck there.
About the song itself, i dont really liked the 80s so im not gonna coment on that. Does not mean its a bad song.

If you were going for an 80s synth pop feel, you've certainly done that. The arp synths are a bit loud, especially on the choruses. Vocals are a bit too robotic for my taste, and not really 'sung' . Maybe use the vocoder more on the main vocal (?). Could be really good with a better mix.

got to agree w/ thecontrolcentre ...
this could be much better w/ a better mix ...
got a little buggles in you ...
listen to ' jonny on the monorail ' , a take a bit of the dynamics
of that into your track ... listen to the balance of instrument to vocal ...
and oh ...
those syndrums ?...
they should be stuffed into a sack , taken down to the river , and drowned ...
really , the track has a lot of promise ...
i enjoyed it ...

This is a great song. I can really appreciate the arrangement which has lots of excellent variations and details.
Some things to consider:
I think the chorus lyrics could be improved: "I am broken. Inside broken" Maybe change "Inside broken" to "God has spoken" or something else to mix it up.
The EQ on the vocals is weird. There is a boost of a certain frequency band and yet the vocals are buried during a lot of the verses.
The mix could use a lot of work. As previously mentioned, the arps are too loud and overpower the other sounds.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to listen
- some really great tips and advice! Its great to get some other views as I tend to go round and round in circles and end up not knowing what to do next - I’ve got my home work now - will try and take all this onboard!!

...well had a go at fixing some of things like the arps, panning, tried to blend the vocals a bit more, even turned down the syn drums!
... remains to be seen if its any better!

V interesting, seem to lose the vocal at times in the ARP line and the vocals don't always breakthrough to allow a clear understanding of the words. Other than that

I think the backing track sounds fine.
Issues with vocals being hard to hear and EQ'ed in a strange way remain.

the song itself is good n catchy, i think theres lots of sounds fighting for space in the mix however.

i would also strangle , shoot and defenestrate them , for good measure ...
if that doesn't work , i suggest you take off , and nuke the entire site from orbit ...
it's the only way to be sure ...
