By recently buying the Waldorf Edition 2 upgrade I've managed to amass all three variants of the PPG V. The 2.2V, with its different skin, is the only one that actually works properly in Digital Performer on a Mac - trying to control the knobs with a mouse on the others is well-nigh impossible (as noted in the SoundOnSound review).
So does anyone know if it's possible to graft the 2.2 skin onto the 3?
If not then I'll probably ending up selling the 3. Has anyone else done this? Can I do this simply by moving the eLicenser key onto a USB key and supplying all of the relevant files or do I need to get permission from Waldorf first?
Thanks!

You cannot use 2.2 skin in v3 since feature set is completely different, v3 does many more things.
Waldorf has dropped eLicenser in the latest versions, I suggest you update to the non-dongled versions.

Thanks for replying.
It's as I suspected. Which is a shame - v3 does more things but it's effectively useless in my working environment. I was astounded that v2.2 solved all of the problems that I had encountered - but then it's simultaneously older and newer than version 3.
Interesting about the non-eLicenser versions of v3. I'l see if I can upgrade but as I am still resolutely on OS 10.6.8 that might not be possible. But the option might at least be open to whomever I pass my v3 onto.
Cheers!

Perhaps try updating first to see if there are improvements in v3 before you pass it on.
